The venue of Guard Dog CAC show is

Mezőszilas village

Located in the southern part of Fejér county and with a population of 2,336, the settlement was built on the land of the Bozót creek. The village name known today, which it has had since 1942, presumably, it arose from the fusion of the words Szilas and Balhás, while the former can be connected to the elm forest in the area, while the latter, according to the records, refers to the water flea of the Bozót creek.

In addition to the churches and monuments, the uniqueness of the village is given by the Strommer Castle and the Droppa Castle. The Droppa Castle among its owners was the owner of the famous racing horse Kincsem, Ernő Blaskovich. The interior decoration of the first floor of the castle, built around 1800, was maked by Italian masters. In 1912, it was expanded with a false dome, a tower, a Renaissance terrace, and an artificial marble English hall. The large castle building is currently unused, in relatively good condition, but somewhat neglected. His garden is unkempt, only the big trees are still beautiful.

The Strommer Castle is a romantic and eclectic castle built in the 1860s. The tastefully furnished castle had 1,000-1,200 volumes of uniformly bound books, audio records, and a decorative tile stove made in the Zsolnai factory in Pécs. The tiles of the stove are supposed to depict the expulsion of the human couple from paradise. The tile stove was taken apart after the war. After the war, it first became an engine station, and from 1962, here is the county social home was located here. In 1965 the Castle was expanded with a new wing, and in 1986, a new part of the building was added.

Mezőszilas is a livable village, young people go to study and then come back to their homeland.

The Gábor Haas Memorial – Guard Dog CAC show will be held at the Sports Field of Mezőszilas village, where the Hungarian Working Dog Association welcomes all interested guests, and exhibitors with their dogs on 22th March of 2025!
