The World Dog Show is one of the most prestigious International Dog Show, which is awarded each year by the FCI, the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, and is won by the country, that has will receive the most votes from the member countries. The World Dog Show is held once a year, its international character is further enhanced by the high number of participating countries and the diversity of dog breeds. Exhibitors from 50 – 70 countries will compete with the 250 – 400 dog breeds for the prestigious World Winner titles from 3 to 5 days. Within the framework of the World Dog Show are International and National Dog Shows, club and special events are also waiting for the exhibitors and their wonderful dogs. In addition to all this, the event also includes a number of interesting and spectacular accompanying programs, such as the competition for junior handlers, dog sports competitions, entertainer events.
The first World Dog Show was held in Budapest in 1971, so Hungary was the first country in history to organize this high-quality show. Over the past 50 years for the Dog Breeding Organizations of nearly 30 countries has been honored to host lovers, breeders and exhibitors of purebred dogs at a World Dog Show.
In the Calendar of FCI World Dog Shows you can see the dates and venues of the World Dog Shows from the passed 50 years and the coming years, the new information include the number of dogs entered, as well as Best In Show winning dogs with their names and with breeds, to whom their breeders and owners can be justifiably proud of.
